The APFSSH Congenital Hand Special Interest Group (SIG) was established in 2026 to bring together clinicians with a shared interest in congenital hand surgery and congenital upper limb differences across the Asia-Pacific region.
The SIG provides a platform for collaboration, education, and the exchange of knowledge. It aims to showcase the expertise and innovation within our region while fostering professional relationships and developing educational initiatives under the umbrella of the Asia Pacific Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand (APFSSH).

Wee Leon Lam serves as the Pro Tem Lead of the APFSSH Congenital Hand SIG. He was instrumental in developing the structure of the SIG, drawing on his experience with the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) Special Interest Groups.
The APFSSH Congenital Hand SIG is guided by a multinational founding steering group representing expertise from across the Asia-Pacific region.
